The International 2025 Grand Final Recap: Highlights from the Last Day

The International 2025 has reached its logical conclusion. On the final day of the tournament, fans witnessed two incredibly exciting series, and in the grand final, it remained uncertain until the very end who would lift the Aegis, the main trophy of The International 2025. For those who missed this action-packed day, here’s a recap of what happened.

PARIVISION vs Xtreme Gaming (Lower Bracket Match for a Spot in the Final)

The first match of the day was the showdown between PARIVISION and Xtreme Gaming in the lower bracket. The match began with a confident victory for PARIVISION, despite Xtreme Gaming having a strong draft and a potentially powerful Phantom Lancer, while PARIVISION’s Enigma was countered by Dawnbreaker and Warlock. Still, the European team secured a significant early advantage and didn’t allow Ame and his squad to unleash the full potential of their draft.

The second game was relatively easy for Xtreme Gaming. They successfully shut down Anti-Mage from Satanic by picking Terrorblade for Ame and quickly broke the enemy base thanks to their tempo.

The third game was memorable for a massive comeback by Xtreme Gaming. At one point, they were trailing by 15,000 gold, but PARIVISION was on a timer, as Medusa from Ame grew stronger by the minute while Satanic’s Templar Assassin weakened. Eventually, Medusa became nearly impossible to kill, and on this note, PARIVISION ended their run at The International 2025, finishing in an impressive 3rd place. Considering this was the first International for their young carry, it was a solid achievement.

Xtreme Gaming vs Team Falcons (Grand Final)

The grand final was both exciting and suspenseful, lasting all five games. Much depended on which heroes the Falcons’ mid player chose.

The first game didn’t go well for Falcons in terms of drafting, as Malr1ne played Ember Spirit, a hero he is not entirely comfortable on. Xtreme Gaming took the first map, and the teams traded victories until the decisive fifth game.

In the final game, Team Falcons decided to trust their carry on Medusa, while the Chinese team chose Juggernaut as a last pick. Unfortunately for Xtreme Gaming, they couldn’t reach the critical mass needed, and Medusa, with high net worth and the Aegis, secured the victory for Falcons at the 58-minute mark.

Congratulations to Team Falcons, who delivered a beautiful display of Dota 2. Skiter, Malr1ne, ATF, Cr1t-, and Sneyking showcased top-tier gameplay and won the hearts of thousands of players and fans around the world. They have forever etched their names into Dota 2 history.
