Xu "fy" Linsen, known as fygod by fans, has demonstrated his enduring skill and resilience in the professional Dota 2 scene. As one of the finest hard supports in the industry, fy has maintained his reputation for over a decade.

Throughout his career, fy has achieved significant milestones, reaching The International grand finals twice and securing a top-four position on the TI stage on four occasions. However, the past few years presented challenges. Following his departure from LGD Gaming in 2020, fy contemplated retirement but couldn't stay away from the game for long.

He reunited with his former LGD teammates under the Elephant banner, but they faced a tough defeat at TI10, finishing in the bottom four. fy missed last year's edition after failing to secure a spot in the regional qualifiers with Invictus Gaming.

This year, at the age of 28, fy faced the possibility of missing TI once again after spending two Dota Pro Circuit tours with ViCi Gaming and being relegated to Division 2.

However, in the latest DPC tour, the Chinese legends regrouped to make a triumphant return. Alongside his former LGD teammates from TI8 and TI9, Yang "Chalice" Shenyi and Lu "Somnus" Yao, fy has qualified for TI12 under the Azure Ray banner.

TI12 could potentially mark fy's final competitive appearance, but this prospect has fueled his motivation and that of Azure Ray. With only two Chinese teams participating this year, the region's lowest representation at The International, both teams have shown impressive performances in the group stage matches in Seattle.
